OnTrac est une entreprise privée de logistique qui sous-traite des services de transport maritime régional dans l'ouest des États-Unis.

L'entreprise a été fondée en Californie en 1991 sous le nom de California Overnight. Elle est née de l'acquisition de plusieurs petites entreprises de messagerie canadiennes et américaines et s'est étendue à sept autres États : Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado et Idaho. Les premiers clients étaient des expéditeurs de documents qui cherchaient une alternative à la livraison de nuit en Californie par rapport aux transporteurs nationaux. Leur zone de service actuelle couvre 20 % de la population des États-Unis.

OnTrac est l'alternative la plus rapide et la plus abordable pour la logistique des colis. EMS est née de l'acquisition de plusieurs petites entreprises de messagerie canadiennes et américaines et a vu l'opportunité de fournir un service plus abordable le lendemain de Los Angeles à San Francisco.

Les premiers clients de California Overnight étaient des architectes et des avocats, et nous nous sommes rapidement développés pour aider d'autres industries à réduire leurs dépenses logistiques sans sacrifier le service du lendemain.

Nous nous sommes étendus à toute la Californie, puis nous avons ajouté le Nevada en 1996, l'Arizona en 1997, et l'Oregon et Washington en 2005. Nous savions que nous avions dépassé le nom California Overnight et nous avons commencé à préparer un changement de nom.

La Californie du jour au lendemain, OnTrac et 65 millions de consommateurs

En 2008, California Overnight a changé de nom pour devenir OnTrac. C'est le nom de notre logiciel d'expédition, qui était déjà utilisé depuis plus de dix ans. OnTrac a marqué la première année de son nouveau nom en ouvrant un service vers l'Utah. Nous avons ensuite ajouté le Colorado en 2011, et l'Idaho en 2013.

La zone de service de 8 États a permis aux clients de toucher rapidement plus de 65 millions de consommateurs sans avoir à payer les frais supplémentaires exigés par d'autres entreprises.

Logistique des colis et au-delà

Aujourd'hui, OnTrac met les entreprises en relation avec des professionnels de la livraison locale grâce à une technologie de pointe, une manutention avancée des matériaux et un excellent service à la clientèle. En 2014, OnTrac a lancé DirectPost, un service de groupage de colis de l'USPS. Nous sommes un partenaire SmartWay Transport, un partenaire USPS Workshare, et nous sommes intégrés à plus de trente fournisseurs de logiciels multi-solutions.
