Bpost is a Belgian postal service, which offers many different services. One of them is shipping and parcel delivery. Bpost has its own fleet with more than 800 trucks for door-to-door transportation of parcels or multiple deliveries that are mainly aimed at business customers due to their added value compared to transit time. Can I send a parcel internationally with BPost?

If you want to send a parcel internationally with BPost, there are several options available for you. You can choose the most suitable option according to your needs and requirements.

If you want to send a small parcel weighing less than 30 kg, BPost offers the following options:

Standard shipment (registered mail) - this option is free and takes one business day for delivery. The weight limit for standard shipments is 20kg per package. For additional items which weigh more than 30kg, it will be considered as two separate packages. In this case, each item should have its own tracking number.
Express service - express deliveries are available from Monday until Friday between 08:00 AM and 05:30 PM local time of both sender's country and destination countries. This option costs €19,- up to 15kg. Above that limit, you will pay only at cost price plus VAT 19%. It takes a maximum of two business days for delivery, but it can also be a minimum of one day.

The most suitable option depends on your needs and requirements. You have to choose the type of shipment according to how fast you want your parcels delivered at an affordable price.

48 business hours to reach most European destinations;
96 business hours to North America or Asia;
100-180+ business hours for deliveries outside Europe (depending exclusively on the courier).

About Bpost International

Bpost or the Belgium Post Group is a Belgian company that provides postal services. It was created in January of 1989 when PTT (Postal Telegraph and Telephone) was privatized. As of 2012, it has become an independent public company that holds 100% shares in Bpost International NV (P&TLuxembourg).

Bpost International provides mail and parcel delivery services in Europe, North America, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The company's main customers include consumers (who account for about 80% of revenue) as well as large companies like HP or Ikea which use Bpost to deliver their parcels within Belgium.

Bpost's fleet includes more than 4000 vehicles, including trucks and moto motorcycles with trailer boxes. The company has about 3700 employees working across Belgium who have been involved in all facets of postal services including collection & delivery operations as well as management support functions such as finance & IT.

Bpost's history goes back to 1830 when a new ordinance introduced the first regular Belgian mail service. In 1835, a contract was signed with England's General Post Office to deliver its international post within Belgium and across borders into France, Germany, and Holland. Three years later, in 1838, Leopold I granted letters from other European countries delivered by the then-Belgian postal system and exemption from import duties - one of many measures which helped turn what had been until that point just another small state among dozens on Europe's map into the home ground for established foreign operators looking for ways to access large markets or establish themselves abroad.

In 1840 The National Postal Administration was formed as part of the Ministry of Finance. Since 1989 is operated as a public company under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance.

In 2011 Belgium Post merged with Bpost International, a subsidiary specialized in international parcel services and express deliveries outside its home country, to create one integrated postal provider for both domestic and global markets under the name "Bpost".
