OnTrac is a privately held logistics business that contracts regional shipping services in the Western United States.

The company was established in California in 1991 as California Overnight and was formed from acquisitions of several little Canadian and American courier companies and expanded to 7 extra states: Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado and Idaho. Preliminary customers were file carriers that looked for an alternative to overnight shipment in California versus nationwide providers. Their present service area covers 20% of the United States population.

OnTrac is the quicker, more inexpensive option for parcel logistics. Due to the fact that we can speed up ground service without the added cost of express shipping, small-package carriers select OnTrac. We have an abundant history of service - it's the structure of our dedication to our consumers.

OnTrac began in 1991 as California Overnight, a department of its now 60-year old parent business Express Messenger Systems, Inc. EMS was formed from the acquisitions of a number of little Canadian and American carrier companies and saw a chance to supply a more economical next-day service from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
