Idriss Al Rifai is an entrepreneur who formerly worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group. Co-founder Joy Ajlouny is a serial business owner whose first start-up in Silicon Valley, BONFAIRE, was gotten by Moda Operandi.

Fetchr protected $52m overall in funding as of May 2019. Their series A funding round of $11m was led by New Enterprise Associates in 2015 - the biggest US-based venture funds investing in the Middle East for a Series A round. This was followed a few months later on with a concealed quantity led by Mobily Ventures. In 2016, Fetchr raised $41m.
