Hermes Europe GmbH is a German shipment company headquartered in Hamburg, owned by the retail business Otto GmbH. The company was founded in 1972 in West Germany and got in the marketplace in East Germany in 1990. During the 2020 coronavirus outbreak in the United Kingdom, Hermes said it would pay its UK chauffeurs who required to self-isolate only ₤ 20 a day, and payment would be made only to those who normally earned less than ₤ 90 a day.
