- Shipment's trip details (destination);
- Bill of Lading number;
- Carrier code;
- Shipment's ID.
You can track your Maersk shipment via Track & Trace. Enter all the required information and click on "Track". If you do not have a tracking number or if it is not available, then try to enter another set of options that will help the system recognize this order. Please note that for some shipments we require additional information (e.g., destination port).
About Maersk
Maersk is a Danish shipping company founded more than 140 years ago. It has developed to become one of the largest container carriers in the world with a global presence and strong customer focus on reliability, safety, and sustainability. Today Maersk Line operates more than 600 vessels calling at about 400 ports around 200 countries worldwide across all major trade lanes.
Maersk's history has always been closely related to the sea and seafaring. The company was founded as a shipping line by captain Peter Mærsk-Møller in Svendborg, Denmark on April 26th, 1904 with a single ship named "Smyril".
Today Maersk is continuing its tradition of being close to ships and ports – it has more than 100 offices worldwide including Copenhagen which is still serving as headquarters for the group's activities within Europe.
In 1872 Mr. J.P. Ingerslev established his own business trading under the name “J P Ingerslev” from facilities just outside Aarhus Harbor where he imported coal from England among other goods such as salt, sugar, and coffee from around the world has his own fleet of ships to transport them around the world.
By 1881 Mr. Ingerslev was the owner or part-owner of 17 sailing vessels, but he still maintained his business as a commission agent with offices in Aarhus, Randers, and Copenhagen while his office manager C.F. Tietgen became one of Denmark's leading industrialists at that time being engaged in many corporate activities throughout Jutland region including insurance companies, sawmills & timber trade, shipping lines, etc.
So intertwining between Maersk Line - the oldest daughter company from conglomerate founded by Danish shipowner J P Ingerslev more than 140 years ago – is almost inevitable not just because they are both based on similar locations near Aarhus Harbor but also because the history of both companies is closely related to the sea and seafaring.
In 1876 a new company was established by Mr. Tietgen under the name “Dampskibsselskabet Svendborg” with its own steamship "Svendborg" which started operating on the route from Copenhagen, Denmark via Hamburg, Germany towards London, the UK carrying general cargo being first Danish shipping line offering scheduled services between these cities.
After purchasing additional ships in the following years it became one of the dominant players on this trade lane so after merging with a competitor named A/S Dampskibs-Compagniet – another leading Nordic carrier founded back in 1862 - formed a new corporation called D/S Svendborg Skibs-Rhederi A/S only to be renamed into Dampskibsselskabet Svendborg Skibs-Rhederi in 1892.
In 1904 Mr. Mærsk-Møller founded his own business while being the first Danish shipping company offering scheduled services between European countries by entering foreign trade with one of its founder's ships named "Smyril" sailing across the North Sea carrying general cargo from Copenhagen, Denmark via Esbjerg, Denmark towards Hull and Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK serving as a proof that Maersk Line wasn't just born out of an idea but also has roots reaching back to more than 140 years ago when J P Ingerslev was engaged not only at land transport but also at sea.
After establishing a business in 1904 Mr. Mærsk-Møller had to face several challenges regarding taxes and regulations which were set up by Danish authorities especially for coastal shipping companies while a new carrier from Copenhagen was operating across the North Sea among foreign countries already being subject to different rules than those applied locally so it took more efforts on his part to overcome all these obstacles but he succeeded eventually causing this company to become one of the leading Nordic carriers within just a few years after its foundation proving that hard work always pays off finally paying off as well.
Today Maersk Line is continuing its tradition of offering scheduled services between European ports serving both trade lanes called Northern Europe – Mediterranean service linking UK, Ireland, Belgium & Netherlands with ports in western Mediterranean basin and Baltic Sea – North Sea service linking the UK with Netherlands, Germany & Denmark.
Services Maersk offers via its Northern Europe – Mediterranean service include:
- Semi-liner services linking UK & Ireland with ports in western Mediterranean basin including Algeciras, Spain; Barcelona and Valencia, Spain; Port Said and Alexandria EGYPT.
- Container liner services connecting the UK with countries situated along the Rhine river such as Rotterdam Netherlands and Duisburg Germany so a high number of exporters located in this region can benefit from cost-effective transport solutions offered by Maersk Line while using their own trucks for transportation inland to final destinations within respective regions according to needs.
Services Maersk offers via its Baltic Sea – North Sea service include:
- Container liner services connecting the UK with the Ijmuiden terminal in The Netherlands offering cost-effective transport solutions to exporters located in this region.
- Container liner services connecting the UK with Germany serving Rotterdam, Hamburg, and Bremerhaven ports while shipment consolidation service is also available for cargo moving between these cities via Maersk Line's own network of feeder services within Europe using dedicated equipment making it possible for shippers from all over the world to take advantage by shipping their goods towards any destination across European continent having appropriate vehicle handling at origin or final destination thanks to Mærsk’s extensive international network consisting not only of well-established operations but also several affiliated companies engaged both at sea and on land providing several different options when planning transport routes especially if you are looking forward to achieving higher levels of efficiency while reducing your supply chain costs.
