La Société Mauritanienne des Postes (translated from French - "Mauritanian postal business"), or Mauripost, is the business accountable for postal service in Mauritania. The business founded in 1999 and is the main postal operator of the nation. Mauritania Postal Service became a routine member of the Universal Postal Union (1967 ).

La Société Mauritanienne des Postes was developed December 29, 1999 by the decree № 99-157/ MP/ MIPT within the division of the Bureau of Posts and Telecommunications (French: Office des Postes et Télécommunications - OPT).
