What delivery services does PostNL have?
PostNL is the primary mail carrier in The Netherlands. This company delivers packages and letters all across the country, but it also allows you to send parcels abroad. PostNL has several different services depending on whether your parcel can be delivered at home or not:
- Home Delivery: if the package fits through your mailbox, then this service will deliver it for free within one day (from Monday to Friday). On Saturdays they do make exceptions though - there are no deliveries on Saturday morning, but you might get something later that afternoon. If your order weighs more than 20 kg, however, things change dramatically because only some products are allowed by law to go overweight limits. In general terms though sending heavy stuff via post requires approval from their customer service because it is simply not an option for them.
- Collect at PostNL: this service allows you to pick up your order from a post office, which makes it perfect if your address does not accept packages or if they are unable to deliver something during certain hours of the day (like when people are sleeping). Keep in mind that deliveries only occur on weekdays and there could be some waiting involved because PostNL offices may have long lines. If you want more detailed information about opening hours and locations then check out their website;
- Delivery point Parcelshop: now this one requires a bit of planning as well as flexibility but also saves time. You can use their network of parcel shops across The Netherlands - remember those little stores where you used to send and pick up parcels before? - to get your hands on that package. You can even schedule a delivery time, which is great if you want the parcel at home but cannot be there during business hours (like when people are sleeping). Keep in mind however that this service does not allow for using your own box or bag so you would have to buy one from their stores and it also costs money because of all the extra effort they put into making sure things work out well.
PostNL offers other services as well:
- Home Delivery Plus: allowing next-day deliveries only within The Netherlands, this service brings together convenience with affordability by charging just €0.50 extra than regular shipping fees. It's perfect for sending lightweight items such as a single envelope or business cards, but it does not include any insurance so you should think twice before sending something of value.
- Parcelshop: this service is very similar to Collect at PostNL and DeliveryPoint Parcelshops as described above except that the delivery time can be scheduled for up to two weeks in advance from Monday through Friday from 09:00 - 17:00. Keep in mind though that your order must weigh less than 20 kg, which means no heavy stuff is allowed!
- Packpoint Pickup Point: now this one makes sense if you are already going down to a post office anyway because all you need to do is place an online order with them by visiting their website and paying for shipping using iDeal (NL) or PayPal. All you have to do is print out the label they give you and put it on your parcel when picking things up from a post office.
- Packstation: this service requires no planning, so it's perfect if you want something delivered right away but are not sure where to get it from at any given time because people are unpredictable nowadays. What happens here is that Post NL will send an email with information about how to collect your order after placing an online order through their website and paying for shipping using iDeal (NL) or PayPal - just follow the instructions! Keep in mind though that there may be long lines depending on what time of day you visit them, which means more waiting!
- Pack&Shrink+: this service combines the easy pick up of Collect at PostNL with a shrink wrap machine. You can schedule your delivery time, which is perfect if you want things delivered right away but cannot be there during business hours (like when people are sleeping). Keep in mind though that it costs money because of all the extra effort they put into making sure things work out well.
- Track & Trace Parcels +: now here's one for those who like to plan and make use not only of their online tracking solution but also do so using maps! What happens here is that after placing an order through their website and paying for shipping using iDeal (NL) or PayPal, users will receive an email containing all the information they need to collect their parcel at one of PostNL's several locations.
- Track & Trace Parcels: this service is very similar to Track & Trace Packages + except that it provides no maps and users must wait for a text message or phone call from PostNL when the shipment arrives. Keep in mind though that there may be long lines depending on what time of day you visit them, which means more waiting!
For business orders, Post NL has something called 'Business Delivery': allowing next day deliveries only within The Netherlands, this service brings together convenience with affordability by charging just €0.50 extra than regular shipping fees. Netherlands Post Surface Mail GearBest delivery
Netherlands Post Surface Mail GearBest delivery is a new method to deliver orders via PostNL service.
Surface mail is cheap but takes a long time (up to 30 days). You can track it using your tracking number or by visiting this link: Tracking Link/Post NL Website Here are some features that make this shipping option special:
- Delivery within 24 hours after dispatch;
- No extra taxes, no customs fees;
- Items arrive at their destination sometimes even earlier than express deliveries.
If you want goods ASAP, please consider other options like DHL Express Shipping which usually costs $20-$40 but takes only several days to deliver.
NLPost tracking
NLPost tracking is very simple and the process is the same as most other carriers. Once you have submitted your shipment, simply click on 'View Tracking' to be taken through a few steps that will allow you to enter your tracking number or consignment note reference.
Post shipments are usually delivered within one to three days. They can be tracked via the following methods:
- Via Track & Trace at postnl.nl by entering your consignment number or reference - You should find this on either your item's delivery note, envelope, outer packaging, or slip that you may have received through email when submitting shipment information online;
- By using an app such as 'Track and Trace' which is available for Android devices in Google Play Store and iOS devices in App Store (for iPhone users). Enter your consignment number or reference into the relevant field provided;
- Via PostNL Customer Service desk. Please be aware that only selected items can currently be tracked via customer service desks and there are some exceptions such as bulky goods which cannot be accepted so please check before making a trip out.
Holland Post Air Mail tracking
Holland Post Air Mail tracking is only available after the shipment is already sent, so you will not be able to track it while it's still in transit.
PostNL Aliexpress delivery
PostNL Aliexpress delivery is a special service of PostNL, which allows you to track the status of your order from China. With this company all shipments are handled by a courier - that's why it is called "Aliexpress delivery".
PostNL Aliexpress Delivery works mainly on tracking numbers issued by Alipay.
