UkrPoshta - information about carrier

JSC Ukrainian Postal Service or Ukrposhta (Ukrainian: Укрпошта) is a public company of Ukraine with 100% state ownership due to its strategic importance. In 1999 - 2015 it was a unitary business of the government of Ukraine. Ukrposhta is a member of Universal Postal Union since 1947 and owner of national stamp-issuing enterprise "Ukraine Stamps" (Ukrainian: Марки України).

Postal service in Ukraine has belonged to the Universal Postal Union (UPU) considering that 1947. It operated within the Soviet Ministry of Telecommunications (Administration of Postal Communication, Russian: Управление почтовой связи) as its republican branch on area of the Ukrainian SSR and was focused in Moscow. The Ukrainian SSR did not have a different system of telecoms and was entirely incorporated within the Soviet system of telecoms. As part of the Gorbachev reforms (perestroika and decentralization, see Union of Sovereign States), in 1991 in Soviet Ukraine was produced Ukrtelecom which took control of administration of all methods of interaction such as postal and signal.

In 1994 Ukrposhta began to run as a different organisation entity following the restructuring of Ukrtelecom, after which Ukrposhta is supplying postal service, while Ukrtelecom is supplying telephone and telegraph services.

In July 1998 "Ukrposhta" was reformed once again on a government demand.

Now it is managed by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decrees.

The "Ukrposhta"'s activities are regulated by the Law of Ukraine "On Postal Service" (in force given that 4 October 2001) and other laws consisting of policies of the UPU.

In 2016 "Ukrposhta" exposed company overview and data of 2015:

12 000 post offices (consisting of 9 000 in backwoods);
Subscription distribution: 500.7 million copies a year;
Transporting 31 loads annually; overall car mileage covering 72 million km;
200.9 countless postal products annual processing and delivery;
73 000 workers (Postmen - 32.0; operators -13.7; Sorters - 2.6);

74.0 million pensions provided;
